Die AEEG 421/2014 CEI 0-16 Norm, Anhang M, für die Sicherheit des nationalen Stromnetzes schreibt vor, dass Photovoltaik- und Windkraftanlagen über 100 kW eine Fernabschaltung vom Netz mittels SMS vorsehen müssen.
