OMNI-900:NARWHAL series antennas for marine and coastal use

Poynting introduces its new Narwhal series of antennas, which will be our longest omnidirectional antenna to date. The enclosure design was inspired by the tusk of narwhals, which are known as the unicorns of the ocean. It was also discovered that the narwhals' large tusk is used as an antenna, as it is a giant tooth that grows inward, with hard tissue inside and sensitive nerves outside. The Narwhal series has been specifically designed for marine and coastal applications and offers a variety of configurations with 5G/LTE or Wi-Fi omnidirectional antennas. The cellular antennas have ultra-wideband coverage and operate from 617 MHz to 4200 MHz, covering contemporary 5G/LTE bands for cellular communication. Covered bands include the emerging LTE Band 71, from 617 to 698 MHz, as well as the CBRS band from 3400 to 4200 MHz. There will also be derivatives offering dual-band Wi-Fi coverage in the 2.4 GHz and 5 to 6 GHz bands for comprehensive vessel coverage. The frequency bands covered by the Narwhal series are illustrated in the graph below.
