RAK10701 LoRaWAN Field Tester (or Meshtastic node)

When deploying LoRaWAN gateways, it is critical to know if they are sufficiently spaced from each other and if the area that should be covered by the gateways is at any location within range. It is important to identify dead spots in LoRaWAN network coverage.

When deploying LoRaWAN sensor nodes, it is critical to know if all sensor nodes are within range of a gateway or hotspot.

With a LoRaWAN Field Tester, it is now easy to verify if the required area of sensor nodes is covered by gateways or if there are dead spots where sensor data cannot reach any gateway.

The RAK10701 Field Tester is available in two variants. The RAK10701-P has two antennas, one 2.3 dBi and one 2.8 dBi, and a hard case. The RAK10701-L model features a single 2.3 dBi antenna and a hard case.

This version is compatible with all LoRaWAN networks. For Helium, the Plug&Play version is available, pre-registered on the Helium network and equipped with free data credits.

Meshtastic firmware can be uploaded to the device, turning it into a Meshtastic node.
