NPORT 5610-8-DT: 8-port RS-232 Desktop Device Server with Male DB9 Connectors and 48 VDC Power Input

The NPort 5600-8-DT server integrates 8 configurable RS-232 serial ports and allows, with a single device, to add 8 virtual serial ports to your PC.
It is possible to both centralize the management of serial devices and distribute management across the network to different hosts. 

NPort 5600-8-DT device servers can conveniently connect up to 8 serial devices transparently to an Ethernet network, allowing you to network existing serial devices with only basic configuration.
Since NPort 5600-8-DT devices have a smaller form factor than our 19-inch models, they are an ideal choice for applications that require additional serial ports, but for which mounting rails are not available.

**Dual Ethernet port for daisy-chaining**

NPort 5600-8-DT devices are equipped with two Ethernet ports that can be used as Ethernet switch ports. You can connect one port to the network or server and the other port to another Ethernet device.
The presence of dual Ethernet ports eliminates the need to connect each device to a separate Ethernet switch, reducing wiring costs.
**Automatic fault reporting function via speaker and/or E-mail**

Built-in speakers can be used to alert administrators to Ethernet connection problems or power supply problems. The web console indicates what the problem is. An alert email can also be sent when an exception is detected.
These functions are valuable tools that allow maintenance personnel to react promptly in emergency situations.
