M-Bus 800 is a series of gateways/converters designed for remote reading of M-Bus devices using the local network or the Internet. The 810 has front connectors for both Ethernet and serial communication.

 The 810 has front connectors for both Ethernet and serial communication.

The 810 gateway is designed to transparently read all types of standard M-Bus devices using Ethernet TCP or UDP.
 The gateway translates M-Bus electrical signals into Ethernet.
 M-Bus messages are read by standard software such as SCADA systems, remote reading programs, configuration programs, databases, etc.
 
 A COM port redirection driver is included. It transforms the serial port of the M-Bus 810 into a virtual COM port on the computer.
 This means that most M-Bus programs on the market can be used regardless of whether they have Ethernet network support or not.
 M-Bus 810 is available in three different versions: as a master for 5, 20 or 60 devices. This is because it is able to directly power devices connected to the Mbus network.
 
 There are four parallel M-Bus terminals that use the same physical interface.
 
 Configuration software is supplied with the device, which also allows configuration operations on Mbus devices, such as changing the device address.
