RAK4631:WisBlock LPWAN Module ARDUINO

The RAK4631 WisBlock LPWAN is a WisBlock Core module that offers a powerful Nordic nRF52840 MCU with BLE 5.0 coupled with Semtech's latest LoRa® transceivers, the SX126x series.

Compared to the older SX127x series, Semtech SX126x transceivers offer improved power consumption, and the enhanced power amplifier can now transmit up to +22dBm, with a total link budget of up to 170dB for an extended communication range. This makes RAK4631 our best ultra-low power, long-range communication solution.

Designed for global deployment, the RAK4631 WisBlock Core is available in two variants: RAK4631 (H) which supports 779-923 MHz ISM bands, including those typically used in Europe, USA, India, and the RAK4631 (L) variant for 433-470 Mhz bands targeting China and specific 433 Mhz implementations.

The module also includes a temperature-controlled crystal oscillator (TXCO) for proper operation over a wide range of temperature and bandwidth requirements, as well as multiple communication interfaces including UART, I2C, SPI, ADC, USB, and GPIO.

RAK4631 along with the WisBlock RAK5005-O base module can be easily expanded with many available sensors and IO boards. This is the ideal LoRa® end node for battery-powered and/or solar-powered applications in remote locations. It can be easily programmed with the Arduino IDE or the PlatformIO extension for IDEs such as Atom, MS Visual Studio Code, or Clion.
