# Remote Reading of Thermal Energy Meters for Condominium Administrators

Condominium administrators have a burdensome task: collecting consumption data for each apartment to divide expenses among residents.

Normally, the fiscal meters present in apartments have a communication port with the standard *M-Bus* (*Meter-Bus*) protocol. This protocol, specific for metering and remote reading applications, allows all meters to be concentrated at a single point. To centralize and read the various meters, simply connect the various devices with a twisted and shielded copper pair and connect a concentrator at the end of the bus.
