TP-DCDC-1248D: 9-36 VDC input, 802.3af 48VDC output, 24W DC-DC

The TP-DCDC series of DC to DC converters offered by Tycon Power® is a low-cost, high-reliability solution for those requiring 18V to 48V DC Power over Ethernet from a 12V or 24V battery system. They feature a built-in POE injector to apply 48VDC to the CAT5 Ethernet cable. The output is regulated to 18V, 24V or 48V DC from an input voltage range of 9V DC to 36V DC. They have two isolated inputs for connecting 2 power sources, such as a primary and backup power source.

A metal enclosure model is available for industrial applications. They accept data input to a shielded RJ45 jack and provide data output and POE power to the shielded RJ45 output jack. They work by supplying power to the unused Ethernet pins 4,5 (V +) and 7,8 (V-). An IEEE 802.3af compliant model is available for applications requiring the 802.3af handshake. They have various protections for overvoltage, short circuit, and overload. The units have an output power of up to 24W.
