TP-POE-48GD Gigabit 802.3af Power Over Ethernet Power Supply

The TP-POE-48GD Gigabit 802.3af Power Over Ethernet power supply offered by Tycon Power Systems is reliable even in the most demanding conditions. It provides 802.3af functionality to prevent the POE port from powering up if a valid 802.3af client is not detected. It accepts data on a shielded RJ45 jack and provides data and power on the shielded RJ45 output jack. It works by supplying power to the remote device on the unused Ethernet pins 4,5 (V +) and 7,8 (V-). According to the specification, they support distances of up to 100 m (328 ft).

The POE plug-ins feature integrated Ethernet surge protection, eliminating the need for an external surge protection device.

The TP-POE-48GDs are self-regulating such that they accept AC input from 90VAC to 264VAC (50/60Hz) and provide a regulated 24VDC output power. They have various protections for overvoltage, short circuit, and overload.
