AB7000-C: Anybus Communicator - configurable and programmable multiprotocol gateway to bring your serial devices into a Profibus network.

Anybus®. AB7000 - Programmable and configurable multiprotocol gateway to enable any serial device to communicate with a Profibus master.

 

**Anybus®. Communicator** for Profibus allows the user to connect and make virtually any serial device communicate on a Profibus network. 
 *Anybus®. Communicator* is tested in accordance with current specifications to ensure Profibus network compatibility. 
 It acts as a slave device on the network and presents data from the serial port to the master controller as I/O data.

 

## Serial Applications

*Anybus®. Communicator* supports RS232, RS422 and RS485 serial communication without any hardware modification. 
 This allows connectivity to a wide range of serial devices.
 Typical serial applications include variable frequency drives, sensors, actuators, human-machine interfaces, barcode readers, RFID readers, and industrial scales.

 

## Configuration

No high programming skill is required to set up the *Anybus®. Communicator*: configuration is performed through a free and easy-to-use Windows&trade-based tool. **ACM** (Anybus Configuration Manager). 
 The ACM can be used to configure serial master protocols like Modbus or other master-slave type protocols. 
 Configuring a Modbus application is very simple: just follow the ACM software wizard. 
 *Anybus®. Communicator* can be easily configured to consume or produce dynamic serial data strings.
