NA003-M64 safely disconnects renewable energy systems from the grid and combines all standards in all countries in one device. For Italy CEI-021

The new NA003-M64 grid and system protection from TELE Haase combines all Central European standards in one device and can therefore be used universally. When using alternative energy generation, grid and system protection is legally required and, in the event of a grid failure, disconnects the energy generation system (PV, generator, buffer battery) from the grid. This ensures that the distribution grid is not affected.
In the event of a defined grid failure, the grid and system protection separates the energy producer (PV, generator, buffer battery) from the grid. Its function is very important for the reliable protection of the electrical grid and generation plants because it ensures that the connection of an energy generator does not affect the operation or safety of the distribution grid.

The new NA003-M64 consists of two components:

- Protection relay that measures grid voltage and grid frequency. It also contains the actual protection functions and generates the grid disconnection signal.
- 1-2 connection switches that ensure the actual disconnection from the grid.

For high availability of the power grid, short-term grid disturbances must not separate producers from the grid. This function, called Fault Ride Through (FRT), refers in particular to short-term undervoltages and overvoltages. Depending on the type and power of the energy generator, different requirements apply here, which can be adjusted via the parameterization of the NA003-M64.

 

In Italy, every energy production plant (Photovoltaic, Hydroelectric, Wind, etc.) exceeding 11.08kW must be equipped with a grid protection device according to CEI-021.
The advantage of this product is that it already has all the various reference regulations for protection standards in various European and non-European countries. Therefore, those who build or sell systems abroad can use a single code.
