The **Marcom Modnet to Modbus** software handles protocol conversion between Modbus/TCP and Modbus/RTU. The software allows, without the purchase of additional hardware, to simply and immediately convert the Modbus protocol, from TCP to RTU version and vice versa. The product acts as a gateway and allows communication between equipment with communication systems on different physical levels. **It also allows saving or updating Modbus data from a database (MsSQL, MySQL, SQlite, CSV/TXT files).** All this without the need to purchase hardware but using any PC on site. The most common scenarios for using the software are as follows: **Concentrator**: in this mode, the software is configured as Modbus/TCP and RTU Master on some of its Ethernet and serial interfaces. Through these interfaces, the software queries the slaves located on RS485, RS232, or Ethernet buses and keeps the acquired values in memory. The values are then made available as Modbus Slave RTU and/or TCP for requests from PLCs, devices, SCADAs that query the product. **Multi-Master Gateway**: the software can be configured as Master on one or more serial or Ethernet interfaces, towards multiple slave devices.
