RAK12023+RAK12035: Atmel ATTINY441 Soil Moisture Sensor

This is a soil moisture sensor kit with a sensor interface module that can be connected to up to three soil moisture and temperature sensors based on the ATTINY441-SSU chip. The sensor is based on capacitive measurement, and its coated element makes it more reliable and durable than sensors based on resistive measurement methods.

Calibration values are stored on the sensor element itself, so once the sensor has been calibrated, it can be connected to any WisBlock Core module without having to start a new calibration.

Additionally, the measured data is transferred via I2C, making the system more robust than sensors that transmit an analog signal.
It can be used to build a soil moisture measurement system for
